Sixty years ago, the first Lantz-built house in Edwardsville became home to one young family. Thanks to Al Lantz’s attention to detail and his mission to treat every home like it was his own, the house still stands strong and beautiful today, filled with six decades of incredible memories.
Over the years, that one home has turned into hundreds, gracing neighborhoods across Edwardsville and Glen Carbon and rising from the Madison County countryside. In addition to crafting custom family homes, Lantz branched into high-end luxury homes, offering the best in style and design. Al’s dedication to excellence carried on thanks to his son, Jeff, and grandson, Jeff II, who continued to build homes that exceeded every customer’s expectations.
While the Lantz name continues to be synonymous with luxury home building, in 2022, we expanded to offer custom home remodels and renovations. After talking with numerous friends and neighbors who had outgrown the homes they loved, but weren’t ready to move, Jeff II and wife Stephanie Lantz, decided to offer the same five-star construction Lantz was known for – but on a smaller project level – to meet the needs of every homeowner and budget.
Today, Lantz Homes & Remodels is both building the Edwardsville community and renovating it, while preserving the integrity of its most historic homes and structures. We also partner with local interior designers to create a design/build collaboration, streamlining the construction process for homeowners. From home additions and kitchen remodels to outdoor living spaces and high-tech home offices, there’s nothing today’s Lantz can’t handle.
